Time to recycle some paper

As our training course took place during november and Christmas was right around the corner, we dedicated some time to create Christmas decorations with Liene and Mina.

Christmas tree

A very simple christman decoration that looks amazing. You´ll need a book or a magazine to recycle (of around 150 pages, with back glued), spray paint, glue and some glitter.

Start by folding each and every page of the magazine in 45 degree angle from the top corner. Just like Liene is doing it in the photo.

 After step one your Christmas tree should look like this

Step two consists of more doubling: fold each page once more, thus making your Christmas tree longer, and narrower.

The third step consists of stabilizing the Christams tree. You have to fold the lower part of each page upwards till it makes 90 degree angle with the center of the Christmas tree.

These Christtmas trees are almost ready

Our participats who made the Christmas tree from books left it like this. Those who used newspapers and other colourful materials chose to spray paint it.

Thats not all we made during our workshop. Our trainers, Liene and Mina tought us other ways how to decorate our home for Christmas (or any other celebration). Here comes just a glimpse of this paper-based beauty:
